H. Obiageli Okolochais currently Lecturer 1 in the Department of English and Literature, University of Benin. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (1985), a Masters degree in Literature (1994, U.N.N, Nsukka) and is in the process of completing her doctorate in the area of dramatic literature. She teaches several courses in Drama and Prose Fiction. Her research interests are in Gender Studies, Feminist Literature and Criticism and literature dealing with trauma and conflict. She is a member of African Literature Association (ALA) and African Studies Association (ASA).
