Mrs Abigail Obiageli Eruaga (nee Eya), was born 7th May 1968. She is married and has three children. She taught in several secondary schools and a polytechnic and worked as a journalist in The Nigerian Observer before joining University of Benin in 2005. She was promoted Lecturer 2 in 2009.
Her specialisations are in prose. She has attended several conferences and published many articles in academic journals. She is currently a Doctoral student at University of Ibadan where her research is on crime and punishment in selected modern African novels from four African regions.
She has served in several departmental, university and community committees. She is an Executive member of the Literary Society of Nigeria.
