About Me: 

Mr Okwechime, the “Oracle of Uniben”, as he is popularly known, was born in Ubulu-Uku, Delta State, Nigeria. He has been in full time in the Department of English & Literature since 1998 and is a Senior Lecturer. He is currently working a PhD research on Femi Osofisan dramaturgy.

Mr Okwechime has taught literature at all undergraduate levels. He has published many journal articles and chapters in books in Nigeria and overseas. He has attended many conferences and presented papers at the national and international levels. He has served the University and community in many committees and boards, and is a regular participant on ITV and EBS television programmes on social and political issues. He is a member of the International Society for Oral Literature in Africa (I. S. O. L. A.).
