NUGA 2011 Closes With Uniport Leading

The 2011 edition of Nigerian University Games held in the University of Benin,ended in a grand-style on the 26 March 2011.Grand Finale ,which was witnessed by dignitaries from all works of life,ended with a football match between federal University of Yola and the University of Agriculture Makurdi. The closing ceremony  began with a ceremonial kick-off by the President of Nuga and Vice-Chancellor of the   University of Benin Prof O.G Oshodin.

Benin City was agog with the colourful displays, bright faces, brilliant speaches, broad smiles and loud cheers of athletes, officials and sports enthusiasts as the 23rd NUGA Games opened on Saturday the 19th of March 2011 in the Samuel Ogbemudia Sports Complex, in the Ugbowo campus of the University of Benin.

The biometric verification of next of kin to deceased pensioners by the National Pension Commission, Abuja is scheduled to hold at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital, Benin City from 14th to 18th March, 2011 between the hours of 8.00a.m. and 5.00p.m. daily.

Deceased pensioners’ next of kin are requested to bring along with them the following items to the venue :
