Mr. Kennedy J. Eweka is a lecturer in the Department of Fine/Applied Arts, Faculty of Arts, University of Benin, where he teaches at the under-graduate level. He has participated in several group exhibitions within the country and has a number of publications to his credit. His area of specialization is Ceramics. His academic qualifications include, from University of Benin, a Bachelor of Arts degree (Second Class Honours) in Ceramics (1993) and a Masters of Fine Arts degree (M.F.A. Ceramics) in 2006. Currently he is a Ph.D student in Studio Arts (Ceramics) at the Delta State University, Abraka. He has served the University in various capacities at the Departmental and Faculty levels. He is a member of many professional bodies such as Society of Nigerian Artist (SNA) and is the association’s current Assistant Secretary, Edo state chapter. He is also a member and the national Vice-President of the Ceramics Association of Nigeria (CerAN).
