Spatial delimitation appears to have been a key (probably primary) event in the creation of life forms, and a spontaneously forming, reasonably resilient but pliable and suitably dynamic but strictly regulated membranous arrangement as enunciated in Singer and Nicholson´s FLUID MOSAIC MODEL (1972) fits the bill.

Maintenance of membrane integrity, a rare commodity in our contemporary society today, is a sine qua non for the good and enjoyable life of the cell and by extension the organism (collection of diverse cell types which make up the tissue {village or hostel or department} and different tissue types that come together to form the organ {L.G.A or SUG or Faculty}, and the different organs that come together cooperatively to make self {State Government or Federation or Institution like UNIBEST}).

Any disruptions that interfers with the smooth coordination of activities at the membrane level, to compromise either the normal traffic laws or disruption of integrity beyond the limits of the in-built self repair process is bad news for the complex processes in the cells soup kitchen. This is inimical to good health and may be the
harbinger of disease and probably cell death.
