Arts

Structure

The Faculty of Arts extends to two campuses. The Ugbowo Campus of the University and the Ekenwan Campus. At the Ugbowo Campus, the Faculty comprises the Departments of English and Literature , Foreign Languages , History and International Studies , Philosophy and Religions, Linguistics and African Languages. While at the Ekenwan Campus it comprises the Departments of Fine and Applied Arts and Theatre Arts and Mass Communication.

Aims and Objectives

The Faculty aims to produce graduates who are well trained in the humanities and Creative Arts and who can use the training to serve the nation in various professional and administrative capacities. The Academic programmes which provide for both the single and combined Honors, B.A. Degrees are designed to cater for diverse academic interests of students and to prepare them for various job opportunities.
