Benin Journal of Education Studies (BJES) accepts articles of theoritical and empirical nature from all spectra of the academic community in and outside Nigeria. However, emphasis is on issues and problems that are of relevance to educational theory and practice in Nigeria in particular and Africa in general. The Journal welcomes articles in all fields of human endeavour, however the article must be relevant to comtemporary educational issues and practice

RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN REFRACTION, AGE, EDUCATION, OCCUPATION AMONG THE AGE RANGE 10-39 YEARS IN A DEFINED POPULATION

Recent documentation suggests that there is an association between refraction, age, education and occupation. Three hundred and sixty-five Nigerian subjects (consisting of 152 males and 213 females) between ages 10 39 years with various levels of education and occupations were studied. The mean refractions were classified according to age, education and occupation (skilled and unskilled).
