SOME ASPECTS OF THE PHYSICO CHEMICAL LIMNOLOGY OF ONAH LAKE, DELTA STATE, NIGERIA
Publication Ref:
African Jour. of Info. Tech. 8(1/2): 138-149.
Some aspects of the physico-chemical condition of Onah Lake, was studied for two years. Water samples were collected monthly at 0.1m depth and analyzed in the laboratory. Water transparency, air and water temperatures, were measured in situ. Rainfall data were obtained from the Federal Meteorological Service Unit located in close proximity to the lake. Temporal and spatial variation in physico-chemical parameters seemed related, in complex ways, to rainfall regimen of the lake basin.
