A SIMPLE TECHNIQUE FOR RAPID DETERMINATION OF PLASMA VISCOSITY

A Simple syringe ‘viscometer’ for measuring plasma viscosity has been described. The apparatus was found to be highly reproducible, with a coefficient of variation of 0.64 percent. Normal mean relative plasma viscosity was 1.67 +
0.09 in a control group compared to 1.80 + 0.13 in a diabetic group (t = 5.5935; p < 0.001).
