GLAUCOMA SCREENING BY NIGERIAN OPTOMETRISTS

Optometrists, as Primary Eye Care Professionals, are involved in screening and detecting glaucoma in Nigeria. This paper looks into how Optometrists screen for glaucoma. Questionnaires were administered to 60 registered Optometrists practising in Edo and Lagos States. Optometrists supplied Information on facilities available for glaucoma screening, mode of testing and criteria adopted for referral of patients.
